Patricia Slager
is the Child Study Team Director at Gibbsboro School for the past thirteen years.
She loves children and is always looking for ways to help all students reach their
potential.
At home, she is the mother of three children. Her youngest son attends Saint
Joseph's University in Philadelphia. |
Mrs. Slager has her masters degree in Learning
Disabilities and her post graduate supervisory certification from Rowan University. She
has taught first, fourth and sixth, seventh and eighth grades. She is certified as a
Learning Disabilities Teacher/ Consultant (LDTC) to screen for scotopic sensitivity and
test children for dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalcula. In addition to testing, Mrs. Slager
writes grants, coordinates the CST, oversees the bilingual program as well as supervises
PS-8 Special Education programs. She also serves as Gibbsboro's webmaster. At
Gibbsboro, she works along side an exceptional staff to make sure children with
special needs are well served. |
In
addition to work, Mrs. Slager has been busy in the community of Moorestown. She has
served on Home and School Boards, was elected to the Moorestown Board of Education and
appointed to the Burlington County Special Services Board. She also served as a lay judge
for the Supreme Court of New Jersey's Ethics Committee. She is a member of Phi Delta Kappa
and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. In her spare time,
she enjoys boating, travel and technology. She just traveled to Australia for the summer. If
