Lois Leonberg, School Nurse
Mrs. Leonberg grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.. She received her School Nurse Certification from Rowan University.
After working as a medical-surgical nurse at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. and as an intensive care nurse at Cooper Hospital in Camden, Mrs. Leonberg also worked for several years as the Branch Manager of Kelly Health Care (a home care nursing provider).
We feel very fortunate at Gibbsboro School to have a nurse of Mrs. Leonberg's caliber. Her extensive work experience and wonderful way with children is such a natural blend for making each child feel "well cared for".
In addition to working full time as a school nurse at Gibbsboro, Mrs. Leonberg finds time to assist her husband with bookkeeping and the running the family business, Leonberg Nursery. She is married to husband, Curt and has two sons, Chris and Ben. In addition to work and family, Mrs. Leonberg finds time for skiing, hiking, biking, water sports and reading. She loves to travel with her family.
According to Mrs. Leonberg, "I always tell people I have the best job in the world. Every day is different because every child is different. I work with wonderful children, supportive families and dedicataed teachers. It makes it a pleasure to come to work each day."
